Custom mousepads make great gifts.
Here is how we make them.
The first step is image review.
For mousepads this is really easy. Mousepads are not super big. They are 7.68 x 9.25 inches. So most images will print great at that size.
Once the image is ready, we lay it out into a print file.
Then we flip the image. Like this:
The image needs to be reversed because it is heat pressed from the back of the print.
Now that the image is flipped we print it on dye sublimation paper.
Then we cut it out.
We turn on the heat press and let it get to around 385 degrees.
Then we take the blank mousepad, line up the printed dye sub sheet, and put some dye sub butcher paper over the print.
And then we pressure lock the heat press onto the mousepad.
It heats for 30 to 40 seconds. Then we release the press.
At this point, the mousepad is really hot so we take it off the press and let it sit for a few minutes before handling.
Then we package it, make a label, and its ready to ship.
If you are interested in getting a custom mousepad, you can do that here.
